Kathryn Joyce “Kathy” Barwick

October 11, 1950 – August 17, 1969 @ 18 Memorial FindAGrave Link The Kathy Barwick Music Scholarship was established in 1970   by William and Joyce Barwick of Alexandria, in memory of their daughter, Kathy Barwick, who died of leukemia in 1969. She had played the violin in the T.C. Orchestra and attended the Virginia Music Camp. The scholarships have been awarded annually to an orchestra member from each of the city's secondary schools, c hosen for their talent and ability as well as involvement in their school music program. The students attend the Virginia Music Camp at Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia.

Bates of Falls Church.

He grew up in Alexandria and spent childhood summers in the mountains near Wardensville, West Virginia with his extended family of beloved parents, siblings, grandmother, aunts, uncles, and cousins.  He received a bachelor's degree in business administration from East Carolina University in 1968, and a master's degree in accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University. Joseph Arthur “Joe” McFall

October 8, 1950 – October 1, 2010 @ 59 Memorial FindAGrave Link Joseph Arthur McFall, member and strong supporter of the Alexandria, Virginia community, died Friday, October 1, 2010 of a heart attack after several months of ill health.  Born in San Joaquin, California, Joe was a member of only the second class to graduate from T. C. Williams High School and went on to graduate with honors from the University of Virginia in 1972. He also received his masters degree from the Virginia Theological Seminary in Alexandria.  A visitation will take place at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, of which Joe was a longstanding congregant and choir member, at 1608 Russell Rd., Alexandria, Virginia 2230, between 6 and 8 p.m. on Monday, October 4. The funeral will be held at Emmanuel the following day, Tuesday, October 5 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a contribution be made to The Emmanuel Foundation at the above address.

Mendelson Memorial Award , American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science, was established in 1971 to commemorate a courageous young man who struggled for five years with kidney dialysis and two transplants during the infancy of transplant technology. The award honors outstanding service and contributions to ASCLS, the ASCLS Education and Research Fund, and to the Clinical Laboratory Science profession. Resources for the Mendelson Memorial Award are provided by Westminster Publishers, editor@westminsterpublishers.com, publisher of Clinical Laboratory Science, the official journal of ASCLS. Memory: Robin was able to make it across the stage (with his crutches) during graduation at TC Williams. It was great!  His father owned the old Mendelson Hardware store in Alexandria.
